We've been to Old Chicago many times. This bar/restaurant has salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizza (deep dish and thin crust), calzones, and pastas on its menu. It also has a beer menu so you can choose from their extensive bottled and on-tap selections.

I started with a Young's Double Chocolate Stout (16 oz bottle $5.95) tonight while I awaited the others' arrival. We all ordered calzones, one "Meat Me" and two "Double Bacon Zone" ($8-9 range), so it was definitely a night for the carnivores. Vegetarian selections are available and some in-between.

The calzones, served with marinara for dipping or whatever, were more than enough for us to have (and yes, we managed to polish it all off, albeitly with some inbalance in the effort). I can't recall any dish in past visits not being on the overly-generous side, nor having any dish that didn't please. Service was prompt and friendly.

This is not the place for a quiet dinner as there are often boisterous patrons scattered throughout. On the other hand, you can take your children of any age without worrying about any noise they're going to make.
